Can anyone be a TV Presenter or present an online video?
We believe that once you understand the principles of communication through the camera lens you can become, with practice, as good as you want to be.
Some people take to it quicker than others but as long as you are committed, focused and have a sharp mind there is no reason why you can’t present.
Appearing relaxed and natural, engaging with the viewer and successfully delivering a message takes not only practice but more importantly “Training”.
Do you have to be good looking to be a TV Presenter?
Quite simply, no. There are people working on Television who have got there because of their looks, but there are many more who are there because of their personality and talent.
Am I too old to present on Social Media or work on TV?
Do you see people your age working on Television? Think of Michael Parkinson, Lisa Wilkinson, Ray Martin, Ruby Wax or Esther Ranzen. Yes it’s true, there are more jobs for younger people but there are also more people applying for those jobs.
I wouldn’t know where to start when it comes to finding TV Presenter work, can you help?
We specialise in helping people start a career in the TV industry and on our courses we will explain how to market yourself with CV’s, letters, publicity photos, show reels etc as well as who to contact and where to find those listings for TV Presenting work. There are many jobs available for TV Presenters (see some here: Australian Presenter Jobs) – It’s important to be prepared for the audition and provide a professional show reel.
I get so nervous in front of the camera, in fact the thought of it scares me to death. Will I be OK?
This is absolutely normal, in fact some students describe it as fear but, after training with us, find the confidence and ability to go on and succeed. Take a look at our ‘Hall of Fame’. We also find that students on our courses bond very quickly and make friends and contact that stay with them throughout their careers.
